In addition to performing well in general sulfuric acid resistance, alloy 20 bolts also perform well in hot sulfuric acid, especially in boiling sulfuric acid at a defined range of 20% to 40% concentration.. Alloy 20 provides solid acid protection and performs better than Duplex or even Monel, although you might need to look at Inconel or Hastelloy fasteners for high temperature and high concentration acids. Additionally, Alloy 20 bolts exhibit useful resistance to nitric and phosphoric acids.
